Funnel Cakes and Carnival Rides, I Hope Nobody Barfs!

At 8:15 this morning, we will be hopping on a float to make our way down the parade routs for our town’s annual Fall Festival. I’ll be walking alongside the float with a couple of my girlfriends while our kiddos and dad’s wave at the crowd from a giant trailer full of streamers, balloons and confetti!
Our soccer stars will wave their little arms like crazy while we mosey along two miles of our main thoroughfare. The fun will come when we reach the end though! Fair food and carnival rides a-go-go! I already bought our all day wristbands and I know Aidan is looking forward to the obstacle course, it’s his favorite! I’m sure he’ll want to play darts and we’ll check out the 4-H club’s animal exhibits. I might even wander into the Fiber Arts room to see what’s going on.
We missed last year’s Festival because we were in Colorado visiting family, so I am super excited about being able to go this year. It brings out the best of small town life. You listen to terrible local musicians perform, watch the cuties from the Dance Studio tap their little hearts out and run into a million people you know. I can’t wait!
By tomorrow night, we’ll be full, tired, sweaty and gross but ready to do it all over again!
