Could Somebody Pass the Smelling Salts?
May 22nd, 2009
In my own fabulously dramatic way, I am constantly calling for someone to “fetch me my fainting couch.” I have a slight flair for the dramatic and I love the thought of having a piece of furniture dedicated to catching me when I swoon. I imagine I would look something like this only way more awesome and stylish.
After the past couple of weeks though, I want a fainting couch for the sole purpose of collapsing on for a nap. I am so tired and run down it’s ridiculous. I don’t know where my mojo is, but my get up and go got up and went and I have a feeling old mojo went along for the ride. I have absolutely no energy. I go through the day like a zombie ready to fall asleep on my desk at any minute and I am completely unable to process responses when people talk to me. At night, snore snore snore. I think I’m sleeping ok, but if I am, where is my energy!?!
Thank God it’s a long weekend! We will be busy, but with mostly fun stuff so hopefully I will have a chance to power down and recharge the batteries. If not, check your local furniture store, I’ll be sprawled out on something that looks like this!

Can you get me one too! Being sick for nearly two weeks took my mojo away. I hope you enjoy your long weekend, you deserve it!

I *love* settees & fainting coches. I have always loved their beauty, always. I wanted one for my foyer in Jax, when I actually owned a house. I got two comfy chairs instead, though.
My mom got one for her bedrooms … and it is BEAUTIFUL … I sat on it one day to read …. and woke up a few hours later. I had never expected them to be COMFORTABLE! Now I wish I had bought the damn settee!
I hope you rejuvinate this weekend. **smooch**

I love that you call others to fetch your fainting couch
I’m definitely feeling low-energy these last few weeks. I’m wondering it it’s the heat!
